Here is why we Love chocolate

If you’re reading this then you are probably a chocolate lover same as me, well, I believe that if you love something you might as well try to know why you love it because love is a result of an effect, So here is how it works.

It is pleasurable because it contains “mood enhancing” chemicals such as amino acid tryptophan, which the brain uses to produce Serotonin that results in boosting happiness, another One is alkaloid Phenylethylamine which is a hormone that helps the brain produce dopamine.

It is stimulating because it contains a decent amount of caffeine and the alkaloid helps you feel more alert by blocking the adenosine molecules responsible for causing drowsiness.

It is addictive because if the chemicals mentioned above don’t have you reaching for another piece, then something called Anandamide will. It’s a cannabinoid Neurotransmitter same as tetrahydrocannibol (THC) which is the ingredient found in marijuana responsible for producing the “High”.

It is tasty because…well that does not even need any explaining.
